A stunning example of the ordinary made extraordinary, artist Tim Moore accumulated this collection of found blotting tissues while working as an assistant to Del Kathryn Barton.
A by product of Barton's studio practice, these remnants were made by chance and often rescued from the rubbish. Surprisingly, the tissues reveal a sense of gesture and process that Moore reveals in his playful and tongue-in-cheek re-framing of the overlooked.
Born in the United Kingdom, Tim Moore relocated to Australia in 2002. During the last decade Moore has used a variety of mediums to create works inspired by the comical and the absurd, including drawing, embroidery, photography and neon. Moore has attracted a strong critical following and his works have been included in numerous institutional exhibitions throughout Australia.
